Simply Perfect by Mary Baloghĭetails about the picture: Scones, tea, clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam. The last 200+ pages made me like the book so much that I gave it a 4 stars. I think the novel is well written and I did enjoy it. I did like Joseph and, after he tells her his secret, their love story is wonderful. Despite he helping her a lot, she seems rude and unpleasant. Even though, her school has an anonymous benefactor that might be an aristocrat (it is).īecause Joseph is a marquess, then he must be horrible. Claudia is an annoying character, constantly talking about how great the charity girls are and how conceit are the aristocrats. If I didn’t know the style of Mary Balogh, I would have stopped reading it. The first 100 to 120 pages of the book I didn’t like her at all.

The last book in the Simply Quartet Series is Simply Perfect by Mary Balogh.
